The other night I was thinking about how my day went. I didn’t accomplish very much and
I was feeling discouraged about my failure to get important things done. I was disappointed in myself and felt like God was disappointed in me too, after all, I am such a weak, unproductive and wimpy person. I started thinking, “maybe I should write a book called ‘Diary of a Wimpy Christian’ and it would be all about me!” Then God interrupted me. He does that now and then. He brought a Bible verse to my mind, one I’ve heard all my life:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
Yes, I am a weak, wimpy, unproductive (I’ll stop there) person and Christian. But God isn’t, and He doesn’t condemn because of that. The whole point is for me to rely on His strength and grace entirely. He gives me the power. It is His strength in me that overcomes.
His strength in me and you give us the victory.
